We at Tabyltop understand and appreciate the concerns surrounding the use of AI-generated art and
the potential use of NFTs in the tabletop RPG community. We want to assure you that we deeply value
the creativity, passion, and unique perspectives that human artists bring to this space. Our
platform is built on the foundation of the rich and diverse artistry that creators like you
contribute to the world of tabletop RPGs.
In our early stages, we used a blend of human-created and AI-generated art to help us launch and
grow Tabyltop. This approach allowed us to quickly develop and refine our platform while operating
within our limited pre-Kickstarter budget. As we evolved our message and our product, we started to
replace these placeholder images with human-created art.
Moving forward, we are committed to investing a portion of our revenue back into the artist
community. We plan to hire artists to create exclusive content for our platform, providing them with
a new avenue for income and exposure.
We also understand the importance of choice and transparency. To this end, we will clearly tag
AI-generated content in our system. Users will have the option to filter out this content if they
prefer, ensuring that they have control over their gaming experience.
As we evolve in the digital world, our focus is on promoting human artists within our platform. We
aim to create a space that showcases diverse artists, driving users to their online stores and
promoting their services. This initiative provides artists with free advertising and a wider
audience reach. Alongside this, we are clear in our stance: NFTs do not fit within the ethos of the
tabletop RPG community and will not be included in Tabyltop.
